I am very grateful to Pascal and the others whose selfless work have enabled me and several of my friends to ditch MS and the blue screen of death forever. In particular I'm grateful for his versions of the Smart package manager, gimp, kasablanca and kmplayer.

Great initiative for these interviews!
It's really sweet getting to know a little more of the persons involved with this great product.
I've always been very grateful to Guru for supplying the rpm's that I just can't do without and I'm
glad to now feel that I actually know him and get this opportunity to say thanks.

Thanks Pascal, your work is very much appreciated, keep up the good work and take good care of that
lovely daughter of yours. She has a father to be real proud of.

Thanks!!

We packmans don't want to use 2 systems. One for unproblematic packages and one for problematic ones. Packman has always been more then multimedia or other stuff that would make problems in the BuildService and we want to continue to be like that. Maybe in the end we will use our own BuildService instance. In fact we are already looking into that but being a project in the openSUSE BS is not an option for us.

One of the projects Pascal participates in, the software portal, will hopefully fix all that so that it does not matter where the repository is. At openSUSE, at Pascals repo, at ours or wherever :)

Can I ask you to update your Miro/DemocracyPlayer package? xD (I don't really use it).

"Note that I have lots of contact with the Packman team and that I should be merging with them some day, eventually."
Now that the Build Service starts to take shape, nobody has thought about porting Packman/Guru to it? Obviously if up to the packagers, but like an user I would like to have all the packages in the (Novell/Official) Build Service, putting in Packman just the ones with patent/license problems (in his own Build Service ;-)

pd. there are two Pascal Bleser? The guy in this photo can't be the same than the one in PlanetSUSE.
