Enjoying the 11.0 beta 3. I got used to 10.3 but can learn to adapt to improvements.

What, if they found a bug, that won’t let RC1 install, in the very last minute, maybe even while uploading the iso’s to all servers in the world?

What, if they have even lost one special file, just a single, tiny file, named “liblost” for example, just for example…
Or what, if that file was deleted per accident, because one of the developers has been pulling his USB stick angrily out of the machine, while the system was shutting down.
Or what, if that tiny file was accidentially overwritten with a sad loveletter with the same name, by a desperate developer?

Just imagine what could have happend, and wait…

Michael

Thanks for the link to most annoying bugs:

“GRUB config broken for other partitions Bug #395085″

“Fixed naming scheme for pae kernels and submitted fixed package for STABLE.
Closing RESOLVED FIXED.”

So, what does that mean? That we shouldn’t install RC1, because this bug ruins the partition table?
Or does that mean, that after the partition table is ruined, a patch would heal that again?

When I try to download from this link http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.0-RC1/iso/torrent/openSUSE-11.0-RC1-DVD-i386.torrent I get this message “Several data files of the torrent “openSUSE-11.0-Beta3-DVD-i386-iso” are missing, do you want to recreate them, or do you want to not download them ?” Any Suggestions?
