I have openSUSE 11, and so far my only problems are that I can’t connect to the internet, and my folders freeze when I enable compizfusion. I downloaded the ISO and burned it on a CD using the KD3 on Ubuntu. On openSUSE 11 when I try to use the internet I get a message “malformed URL”, and I type different URL’s and get the same thing.:(

I am using 11.0 with KDE 4 and never saw this error - until today! I have been updating normally prior to this. Not sure the cause or fix - but thanks for the note that it works as root - am updating now as root!

KDE4 may be all shiny and new and full of eyecandy and whatsoever. Without KMail/KDEpim it is not ready for primetime. Or how am I expected to do my daily (email) work -centered around Kontact- on KDE4?

Sorry folks, unless there is a viable alternative (and no, Thunderbird isn’t it) KDE4 is nothing more than a technology study.

since sue jumped into bed with MS i have stopped using it on my computers and i’m just a casual user btw. I ditched MS to move to linux, and I don’t want my linux experience infested with the rancid smell of corporate greed. SUSE ……..you smell.

KDE 4 one click install starts dependency HELL for me; see below:

I’m on opensuse 10.3 x86_64. No matter how many respositories I enable; This is really screwed up.
