Katarina,
Your thoughts on women in the computer world follow along mine and many others who see that there aren't enough women in the field. Anything we can do to involve women at an early age in creating or guiding software and computer usage would be very helpful. Combat and competition games typically attract males at a young age. Maybe with more games focused on interaction between people in positive ways rather than violent methods will bring more females into the world of computers. We need massive online games focused on stuff girls like to do. Maybe a worldwide clothing design game for baby clothes or a giant cooking competition. Maybe not a competition but a collaboration like Second Life areas focused on adolescent female interests. Don't ask me what that would be, ask someone who has done the research. However, I think we need strong smart women from an early age involved more in open source from writing and designing to using software. I really liked that movie scene from Kill Bill too. Who wouldn't!

quote: "Which application or feature should be invented as soon as possible?

* … thinking …. *
Well, maybe some professional graphic editor, comparable to Photoshop & co. It is the thing that still makes too many people stay away from openSUSE (and Linux in general) and choose Windows or Mac OS X instead."

a think that krita is becomeing everyday more and more better for image editing. i use it for some time and it serves me well.

Oh, I did not really say that, did I? It was only true in my particular case (while being at QA, I did not participate on openSUSE project very much).

On the contrary, I think QA people are invaluable part of the community and their testing and bug reporting is of great value to developers. Yeah, we do test (or at least, we should) our software before releasing it, but none of us is able to cover every possible combination of inputs and scenarios. Personally, I would not have enough courage and patience to install new software on my machine every day, so I'm glad someone else does that for me ;-)

Iw ould love for yast to have some sort of restore feature in it. For example when updating with it on a dial up connection, if it is a big file and the download errors out, it has to start from scratch again. Very frustrating when it is a large file.
