I’ve read headlines recently and met something interesting. I’m really far from been guru in security but that touches me a bit. Here is the link on Russian news portal regarding major security issues found in Linux kernel since version 2.6.18 and up till 2.6.24, but which has been already fixed in 2.6.24.1. And with that I know (read in previous posts here) that you are going to release 11 openSUSE with 2.6.24 version which might be not good.

Link to the headline:

Best regards,
Roman Kuznetsov

openSUSE 11 has a release date of around June I believe, so if there are problems with the kernel they will no doubt be well and truly fixed by then :)

Please just delay the final release by a month. Do it now, so it doesn’t hit anybody by surprise. There is no point in releaseing before KDE 4.1 is out.

Can we please have a vote on that?

If the release cannot be delayed, I think a 11.0.1 could be released in July with KDE updated to 4.1.

Well to be honest, I wouldn’t want to be too tied to KDE release dates.
