The “Software Repositories” icon is back in the YaST control center on Factory. Bugzilla has a component “Release Notes” where you can submit your suggestions.

seasoned users will get used to it, but I think if it helps with new users coming to linux, then great. Sometimes these modules get cluttered up with things that would be better merged into the one thing, lol

I have openSUSE 11.0 Beta 1 installed on a test system and I had noticed the lack of YaST repository management modules and assumed my system was just a little borked after the upgrade (I did a hot upgrade from 10.3 – it’s a test system).

I keep my ear pretty close the ground, espcially when it comes to openSUSE, but this article is the first that I’ve read that seems to indicate repository management is now wrapped up into the Software Management module.

This sounds like a great idea but seasoned users may find it a bit confusing. I don’t have an 11.0 system handy to check if this is already the case but I think we need to make sure we’ve included this fact in the release notes.

Is this done? Anyone care to comment how to contribute this to the release notes if it isn’t already?
