Your list of "Most Annoying Bugs" disturbs me. I would say that the most annoying bug in Beta 5 is the "touchpad" bug (aka the "gsynaptics" bug) that has been in OpenSuSE 10.3 (64-bit), OpenSuSE 11.0 (both 32-bit and 64-bit) and is still in 11.1 Beta 5 (I have confirmed it in 32-bit and expect that it is still in 64-bit). The only reason I have not opened a new Bug Report is because we are not supposed to do so. It would be labeled a "duplicate" and closed. So are you now saying that you are going to ignore pre-existing bugs and we have to open new bugs to get them corrected? If that is the way you want to wor I can do that, but you should make up your minds about these procedures.

I've tried the latest beta (5.2 from factory liveCDs), and I must admit it's very impressive. A lot of major and minor improvements make it a very usable distro. KDE4 still lacks some of the functionality of old-good kde3, but that's being actively worked upon, obviously.
I was wondering if we users can somehow support Novell/openSuSE by providing CPU power for the final builds. Like if there's a virtual environment which one can download and run, which would then connect to the central server (like all these S.E.T.I. or einstein software was doing), get the next package to build, compile it and send back to server. I think most of the necessary components are available for such a trick. That will make openSuSE a really COMMUNITY distro ;-)

Small question.
Why does no one put this on the news net under Alt.Binaries
That way everyone would have a fast path to it.
The Bit thing stinks spent 2 days getting 60%. Hell I can download fron news (UUCP) at 900KB.
Can someone please put the 64 bit version up there. At this rate I'll be here waiting when the RC is released.
Giganews or any of them can do this.
Ubuntu works with one of them..

Have some mercy. Post this broken into rars with some pars on the news net.

Thank You.
