And I do apologize if I'm being a pain I just thought this was odd. Then It took me quite some to to figure out how to answer "Spam protection: Sum of t-wo + s-ix ?" If I actually figured that out. No chance it just started working randomly just to confuse a middle aged LinuxGNU user. You deliberately did this to infuriate me!

If there is going to be a torrent for [and there probably shouldn't be one anyway]:

openSUSE-Addon-NonOss-BiArch-Build0233-i586-x86_64-iso

Shouldn't it a least be seeded? There are people trying to download this via torrent. No one is able to finish it. Is there some other purpose to a torrent that can't be downloaded? Might be confusing to some... Is to me.

I have tried to install using Gnome-LiveCD. Initially, Install failed with quite a huge Log on my System(P4-3.2GHZ 2GB RAM 120 GB HDD, NVIDIA 256MB RAM, 20" widescreen 1600x1050). After completing Install somehow, boot up and auto-login etc worked nicely. All Apps run nicely, and interface is quite nice as well.
Shutdown seems to allow only Hibernate, am not sure why. I have to drop to a prompt and run shutdown as Root. Logoff, because of the default Auto-Login, actually ends up just back into a session.
Not too critical, but MS Wireless Natural Desktop(KB & Mouse), weren't recoginzed by default and don't seem easy to configure for all the added keys and buttons. I'll check up Documentaion and try to cocnfigure.
Also, Compiz doesn't start at all, nor do Desktop Effects when choosing those options in Control Center.
Still some way to go , I suppose, surely this can't be called "fantastic". Was hoping for more, sorry.
Thank you.

According to nvidia drivers i have general notice.
Im unexperienced user. But i think openSUSE is worthy to spend so much time on it.
And all U (experienced users) for sure remember Ur newbie time as U spent hours which became days and finally days and nights.
As me. So keeping respect of newbies persistence with having fun/fighting there should be a clear (even for non english natives) guidline.
U say, there r many.
Well... First i need to get know why (like nvidia drivers) soemthing doesnt work. Mostly defining problem is taking time.
Next i need to find [SOLUTION] :)
Next to find [HOW TO].
Next to get know why it can fail.
Next try. Mostly it doesnt work at once. So try and try. BONUS! Every try is shorter then previous one. :) IM LEARING!
At the end EITHER i got know its impossible OR possible.
So thats my noob boring life with Linux. AS some1 could ask, why ppl are afraid of Linux. :)

After over week of fighting with nvidia drivers on Milestone 4 i got know that kernel 2.6.30.1-2 will not work with ANY nvidia drivers
UNLESS
1. i do it manually
or
2. i update kernel
or
3. i install correct onemyself.
As U (experienced ones) see its not a task for newbie for his first job.
In my lame opinion, installing nvidia is critical point for newcomers (desktop/home using/entertainment oriented). As i cant do it, mostly my linux is useless. Cause for using web browser and mail i dont need to leave shitty XP.

So id like to get know. If its possible to have EASY AND NOOB FRIENDLY upgrade kernel tool under YasT or zypper?
After i got know HOW to patch my kernel, i found patch, commands etc. I read it can fail. And ofc it failed with many errors/failures.
Why i cant predict (like relations warnings in YasT) that my patch will not work before i start?
Is it possible to have under YasT EASY AND NOOB FRIENDLY procedure to exchange kernel?

Sorry for my english.

Thx.
Juno

Hi Bobby!

In fact I found factory releases 219-221 are much better than the M5. If it was so easy to fix why not putting one of those as a Milestone release? Yes they are buggy, too (if you click install yast gives you errors and does all the installation silently, without any fancy dialogs, but still you have the possibility to follow the y2log), but at least it boots, finds network and installs after all...

For the failing networkmanager I found that you HAVE to use the kwallet, in that case a wireless encrypted connection is possible. Still an explicit "connect/disconnect" button or menu item would be useful.
