I've installed Milestone 7 on a UMPC Gigabyte M912X. The installation process was okay. All hardware, touchpad and touchscreen too, was successfully installed. But some modifications were necessary to get a well X-server and a KDE with well fonts in a resolution of 1024x600. So I can say that 11.2 is okay.
Only two problems are open:
1. The GSM-connection via Huawei-Stick is configured in NetworkManager and connected to E-Plus, but the connection doesn't get a route through the stick and also not the IP-address via DHCP and an DNS-entry. So I have manually set a gateway via "route add default gw" and set the two DNS-Servers to the resolve.conf.
2. There is no tool to calibrate the touchscreen. I didn't find an entry in section ttySX and not in ttyUSB too. I can't find the device for touchscreen. I cannot find a config file in /etc and not section in xorg.conf. How can I calibrate this device?

It was my first contact with 11.2 and I would say It's okay. But I would say too, that it's not necessary to upgrade all my machines with older versions of OpenSuSE.

I downloaded the KDE-CD and cannot boot from SATA-drives. On my laptop it crashes after the isolinux-prompt (unable to boot, then reset). On my desktop-pc the system hangs after loading 15% of the kernel.

Booting from an IDE-CDRW works fine and ic could't find any hardware problems so far.
Anyway: great work!

Well, my smartcard reader (Dell Keyboard reader, works under debian lenny) does not work at all. pscsd is installed and runs, however, I cannot find the ccid drivers, nor opensc nor openct in the software repository (DVD Version, online access fails constantly to update)

Further, albeit in the sysconfig editor "displaymanager starts local x server" has been set to no, the X local servcer starts, when displaymanager is set to GDM. Works fine when set to XDM, though

Why isn't there a possibility to provide a proxy configuration script (proxy.pac) in the proxy settings?

On a Athlon 64 X2, and Geforce 8800 GTX system, I had a kernel panic until I typed in 'init 5' then it was working after a reboot. Perhaps you can make sure it won't kernel panic in a future release. A lot of the start up functions were failing. Also, I really miss SuperTux. Please add Aotuv Vorbis 5.7 encoder in Audicity too a future release. I don't see 7zip package up and running in File Roller on first boot of KDE.

For me M4 was the best up to now. I could install just about anything including the nVidia driver without a problem and it was quite stable. Since then it just got more and more difficult. Now I can't install the multimedia codecs, I can't install the nVidia driver (can't compile it). I get an error message that the kernel-source (which is installed) isn't configured, which is somewhat weird. it's fast but not as fast as M4, it's stable and the art work is shaping up but something is still missing. i do hope that a little more work will be done on the artwork, on SPEED and the overall look and feel.

Yes, the green is, hum, a little bit strange... if you believe you have been feeling well so far, that may change after looking at this "non-colour".

Another minor point: the analogue clock widget for the KDE taskbar has been changed, and it is now all but useless: due to the very broad white-ish hands on a white clock face, it is virtually impossible to read the clock at any size less than 60 pixels high (which was absolutely no problem with the analogue clock shipped with 11.1).
