We’re very, very close to the final release of openSUSE 11.2!

To help promote the 11.2 release, we have banners for openSUSE 11.2 available on the openSUSE wiki, courtesy of Jakub Steiner (jimmac). They’re available in most standard ad sizes for the Web, so you should be able to find one to fit your blog or site.

When openSUSE 11.2 is released you can link to the openSUSE.org home page or to the download page for 11.2 directly.

Take a look – they’re quite good! (And no, 11.2 isn’t “out now” just yet. Unless you’re reading this on Thursday after the release, or later…)

When will the links for box sets on the “store” pages get updated for 11.2 box sets?

Still no nvidia repo for 11.2 It will lose a lot of nvidia users. They cannot do it the cli way. A missed opportunity. Or surprise us. Everything else is first rate.

No problem, just download the latest linux driver from nVidia. Make sure to have the matching kernel source, and devel (kernel-desktop), su to init 3, and run the nVidia script. Init 5, then run nvidia-settings (best run as root, so save to X11.config works OK!)

What are on about?

“Packages can be found at ftp://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.2/ You can add the repository to YaST and install the nVidia drivers.”

Yes, I also put it on my home page! Looking forward to this update, although I was more convinced about OS 10.3. :)
@Steve: The same problem would stay for the ati-Radeon graphic cards, I guess?
Hopefully the system will be as stable as 10.3.

Nice, but anyone know where I can get some cool Linux/openSUSE stickers for putting it up on the computer? You know, like those “intel inside” and “windows vista” (eew!) stickers OEMs put on machines..
