Bought 11.1 and have problems with getting it up. Tried from the standpoint of kde 4.0 on to a Windows disk but failed on many attempts with root missing. Tried from upgrading Susi 8.1 on a 1.5 GB disk on first time through managed to ungrade but on but would not get anywhere accept with the basic screen. Tried using a 117.5GB hard disk and had some succcess as far as kde 3.5 was more stable ye the root disappearence was still dysfunctional came back many times to reboot to the install routines.

I carried out blanking the disk using a windows 98 2ed floppy disk to run fdisk, following upto maximum size but not formatting the disk. This was then started from a virtual clean disk nd then went up ok allowing me for the first time to get to FireFox to use directly to the internet.

I believe that the DVD I was given, rather purvhased, was suspect but after cleaning and ensuring the surface well, the system went up first time. Could this be a problem? Not sure but it was certainly coincidental.

Will certainly note and report further incursions of the stalisation of this interesting product.
