Some issues I want to share that I ran into with 11.3 Iteration 7:

Background: I have a new Intel Clarkdale chip, i540 on an ASUS P7H55D-M EVO motherboard and 4 Gigs Memory. I had video issues with 11.2 and thought I would try 11.3 beta. Overall I am very impressed. It recognized my integrated Intel video at hi-res via DVI-D port - very nice. I also appreciated that squidguard gets installed automatically with squid. Great time saver as this is my default installation for server customers.

Here are things that didn't work though, to whom it may concern:

1. I have three hard drives and the installer (both automatic and manual modes) attempted to configure RAID. An appreciated upgrade but it did not work for me. The default file systems were created but the installer later reported insufficient disk space to install the O/S. The drives are 500 Megs each. Manually defining the file systems on one drive (non-RAID) worked fine.

2. Firefox will not run. Executing the script manually yields
"*** nss-shared-helper: Shared database disabled (set NSS_USE_SHARED_DB to enable).
    GLib-ERROR **: gmem.c:137: failed to allocate 186309954681613 bytes" <-- Yowza that's a lot of memory!

3. I purchased a new 4-port KVM switch that does not have DVI (I originally installed using the integrated DVI graphics port). I had difficulty with the video support via VGA. I no longer see the 1400 x 1050 res and have to use the x11failsafe arg in bootloader at 1280 x 1024. I had to reinstall the O/S to get any video at all via VGA port; whereas my 11.2 system saw a video card replacement with a vga port no prob (although the old and new video cards are Radeon, same driver). Plenty of resolution for a server X console, but the video aught to work better. (please don't admonish me for using run-level 5 on a server - it's dang convenient and resource consumption on a modern box is negligible.)

Anyone out there have a fix for my Firefox issue?

Great!, Love the printer install in 11.2, but wish the updater DID NOT have so many bugs like pid28571 (/usr/sbin/packagekitd)! and as a VERY LIGHT user, I look forward to resolvent of these types of installment issues.

Now the graphic art theme of 11.2 took a great departure from 11.0 & 11.1, but seems to predict the BP oil spill in the gulf of Mexico! and possibility the spread and direction of its movement! around the US coast, so I vote for going back to a more pure green in 11.3 myself; [emerald or chartreuse does not matter], OK?, thanks, gregory
