The US legislated to put a Legal Halt on Data Loss or Data Abuse to temper the some 200,000 Americans that had either lost their Identity, their Life Savings, Credit Card Numbers and Credit Reference Agencies. This had to be done as this was the worlds greatest theft of Data in an Industry

The rest of Europe and the most manufacturing in the rest of the world did not Legislate, Quality Models were first created and applied by Japan after WWII. That was the birth place of a Quality System.

There are many documented ISO’s, that apply to different businesses.
Software Development we use parts of 9001/9002.

The International Standards Office is in Brussels; and deservingly so.
No matter which Industry we may participate in or invest in, Quality or Ultimate Value Added Products,
was demonstrated to the World first In Japan, Taiwan, etc………

There is a catch –
The catch is if ANY Business fails to achieve a Positive Audit of their Quality System, and keep it there over the years, that Business;
is not able to even reply to a Federal/State/Local Government. Tender let alone continue to trade with it.

If a Business wants to be considered for the might of powerful Government Spending, the chosen companies need to have a QA in-place with a Positive Audit
as step number 1.

This kinda helps us all,

Everyone prospers under a Quality Model – we the Business – we the shareholder – we who create without fault before we submit – we all – we save unimaginable man hours in corrections that should never have been acceptable – even we the share holder wins as we sell an unreal Quality Product and there is not one downside of a quality System Model; if so let me know please

I for one, would feel far safer travelling in a Vehicle, constructed under QA, on a Road built under QA, Tyres built on QA; having a mindset that Products I enjoy and the Profet Share Holders Enjoy BOTH Increase!

Has anyone put a dollar value on the man-hours needed to fix our Problem Management Facility – Bugzilla in all its numbers.

A great deal has been said recently about “identify” ‘community’…we now need to include Methodology and
COST IN MAN HOURS of EVERY PIECE of INFORMATION can EASILY get from FATE/Bugzilla.

Numbers, categories, importance, delay etc….all are simply arbitrary numbers UNTIL we apply a cost to resolve the HUGE LIABILITY we create and try to forget the real costs – Just a giggle check out the Bug report that asked us to make/fit the process of Cold Fusion in 11.3
