@Joseph Don't jump to conclusions: Gnash is just included on the distro as an option. Unless the milestone stories say otherwise, version updates are just that, no change of defaults.

Regarding LibreOffice, all the OpenOffice team at SUSE are now working on LibreOffice, so it would be foolish to ship anything else. Others are free to provide it using the Build Service but given that [Libre|Open]Office are both pretty hefty I'll stick my neck out and say there will only be space for LO on the DVD.

I'm sorry to hear the real OpenOffice is being replaced with a fork with no financial backing or support or long-term plan or finalized structure or even reason for existing (or even any differences at this point). I trust we can rely on the configurability and freedom of OpenSuse to replace LibreOffice with the real deal after install, or hopefully right from the DVD during install which would be better.

I'm wondering if Gnash is going to be installed in lieu of pulling in Adobe Flash or again if there will be an option during install? Maybe 11.4 is being a little quick to jump on these open source spinoffs and clones without regarding the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" advice. Neither LibreOffice nor Gnash have proven themselves yet to be superior to what they're intended to replace in terms of features and stability. I thought the mission statement that was drawn up touted openSuse as offering stability while allowing users to be cutting edge if they chose. It looks like 11.4 might be going for cutting edge by default.
