My regards for everyone who has cared to criticize +vele or support the good work at/on opensuse.
It is worthy to note--
1. nothing *goog* comes easy
2. one either pays others for every bit or you learn to do it yourself
3. if is more positive to think that opensuse is an oppotunity for someone like me to inovate; release 11.4 opens up more room for contributed efforts.
4. since everything in linux OSs is under development semultenously i thinh it is more advisable to test run it b4 loading to your main system with everything.

Personally as someone who has little knowledge of coputers, is learning by doing tand lives in a place where tools are still difficult to find, i am deary greatful for the lots that opensuse n comunity have done.

Let me suggest that it will be verry helpful if one previous selectet version is also contineously add new features so people who love or want totat hitch-free os will be going for it.

lets keep up hope n good work.

Been using various flavors of Linux for years now and have not found one not only more user friendly to the noob yet still able to be tweaked under the hood by more experienced users than openSUSE. Most of the problems I had were minor graphics driver related and disappeared with the kernel mode drivers change made since 11.3. 3D desktop effects now work flawlessly. The only problems I still have relate to the KDE sound system crashing occasionally when an app doesn't play fair and monopolizes the sound card. Still haven't figured a good solution for that one. I suspect a significant rework of the KDE sound system may be necessary or perhaps KDE needs a special virtualized sound system for apps not specifically designed for KDE.

Hello SuSE FAN, User, Team,

I been SuSE Linux since version 8, and so far I continue loyal to their distros, I am not Linux Expert, I had some problem from time to time configuring SuSE distros in some hardware and setting up things, but who has not have them?.

I have also tested other distros but as soon as I start working on them I start missing the goodies of SuSE. Great work SuSE TEAM, keep it up!....

Cheers,

I was using SuSE since 5.0, the OpenSuSE 11.4 KDE desktop is a definitive step backwards, I can't remember how to add programs to the quicklaunch bar, even after having it done for a couple of times, this is not intuitive, sorry.

Van, I think ra's consideration of your media is a good one.

I've been using SUSE since before Novell became involved with it and in my experience it has always been superior to all other distros.

I have not had a stability problem with SUSE ffor many, many years.
