I was really scared that this was going to happen, but then I realized that it was April 1st. I can’t believe how many of you actually want this to happen. GNU/Linux isn’t a great operating system simply because it is free open source software; it is also the competition between the distributions that drives development forward. Should all these distributions be combined into one, GNU/Linux would be nothing more than another Windows / Mac OS / other slow to add new features operating system.
