I have 3 years working with GNU-Linux and I started with SUSE 9.3 in that time, with that beautiful KDE. It was totally easy and intuitive with YaST. It was my first start with SUSE Linux, with the magazine that explained everything. Best of all, came with their DVD's, with all their applications and I no internet connection. After several years I had no PC. I started with Ubuntu 8.04 and 9.10 to start, from there I went to Ubuntu 10.04 (the only thing that has worked well) and then 10.10, followed by 11.04 and had several drawbacks, especially with the Kubuntu LiveCD 11.04 to Reboot, problems with TTY user and a crash in the plasma. Thinking that everything was fluid, but nothing intuitive. Apart or a panel, everything was editing text files in Debian / Ubuntu. Tracks are very rushed and never offered me stability as SUSE 9.3 and Ubuntu 10.04 was the only one that went smoothly. Like Debian 6. Currently there are no comparable distro like openSUSE KDE 11.4 that is used decently. In truth, neither 11.04 nor Kubuntu LinuxMint, Mandriva and just go for the 2010, waiting for 2011. And openSUSE with YaST power, along with the OBS and good rewrapping of KDE, is impressive. A distro with a great professional finish. Needless to say, now working with the stoy mismoe. Regards!

Gogogo Jos! Nice interview. Please keep on being a powerhouse.

@Lathoi: I am sure you can fire up your midi gear with openSUSE. Please check the forum. forums.opensuse.org and post a thread if needed. Take the search on things like setting up JACK audio with your synthesizer.

I am Opensuse user for a year, I have problem with the audio input. As on windows 7 I can connect my (Casio Synthesiser and other musical instrument and amply the audio, But same can not be done in opensuse 11.4 KDE 4.6. Opensuse 11.4 Gnome 3 is boring and look dull.

Best Regards
