Frans,

There was never ANY difference between a .0 or a .3 release for openSUSE. The numbers have always been completely random... This is why we have the new scheme - there is at least SOME logic behind it (based on our release schedule, every .1 comes on the same date but 2 years later).

Thanks for your reply. I tend to avoid .0 releases because of instability to new releases. I hope that the new numbering scheme does not mean that such stability is being sacrificed over functionality or PR reasons.

Great distro, and great features. Users that can select which enviroment to run (KDE/GNOME)this make a great upcoming release! I prefer KDE, and it's many features. This option of choice give the user the power. That's what opensource is all about. Can't wait for the release!

I have to say, I tried to use Fedora 15, and found the whole distro to be poor and riddled with errors, not only their poor effort to implement Gnome 3. I have been running 11.4 with Gnome 3 for well over a month now, and I love it, OpenSUSE's implementation in Gnome 3 is far superior.

As such I'd give it another try under OpenSUSE :)

Hi guys,

When I try to install by Yast --> Live installer I have this message :

process 4746: arguments to dbus_message_iter_append_basic() were incorrect, assertion "*bool_p == 0 || *bool_p == 1" failed in file dbus-message.c line 2541.
This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.
  D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace
YaST got signal 6 at YCP file Storage.ycp:3
/sbin/yast2: line 423:  4746 Aborted                 $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" "$SELECTED_GUI" $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS

Do you have any ideas ?
Thx
