I have downloaded Open sause 12.2 but not loading. The screen asking for linux password though typed “root” as password and login re-surfeces the same screen and we cant do anything. Kindly help me out

Good job! Tested one of your factory releases close to the 12.2 MS2 lately and found it to be surprisingly stable ;-)

Just the 12.1 directory in …/opensuse/factory/iso/ comes as a surprise – a “leftover”?

Cinnamon won’t be included in Factory because of technical problems that needed to be fixed upstream… This is an issue with Muffin which provides exactly the same typelib as Muffin.

Until upstream has a fix, I’m not submitting packages with crap hacks to be installed on users who expect a reliable option :)

I’ve got a couple free partitions on my workstation – I think I’ll run this as a desktop for a week or so and see what breaks. I assume the “hard way” NVidia stuff still works. Or maybe I’ll get lucky and “nouveau” will work with my GPU/Monitor. ;-)

What’s the status of the Cinnamon desktop? I ran it for a week or so before dropping back to LXDE. I think it’s further along than Razor-Qt.
